Traditions: at Easter, religious traditions and local folklore merge in an appealing celebration. An ancient wooden statue of "Christ Resurrected" is taken through the streets of the historical centre. In front of it, a row of 3-meter-high wooden crosses with laurel crowns opens the procession. While winding down the narrow streets of Tarquinia, the Christ’s statue seems to "dance" at the pace of the city band cheerful music, surrounded by the blank shots of the local hunters and the tolls of the town bells. |
